Here’s a break from my usual mirror. Wore this to Damien & Amy’s wedding dinner.

After Damien and Amy’s wedding, someone suggested to go on the Melaka River Cruise, which is near the Stadhuys. Since the hubs and I have never been on it, we decided to go for it.

We didn’t carpool so ended up at different jetty points. There were like 3 or 4.
There were some difficulties trying to pinpoint where everyone was. KY in particular was very helpful with his “We are at the jetty in front of this large red building”.
At last, after walking for a bit, we found the rest of the group. They had been trying to stop a boat to get on by waving from a jetty, kind of like hailing a taxi? There’s a signboard that actually said you could do that.
Anyway, one particular boatman signalled to us to go further up (or down? I wouldn’t know) along the river instead, so we started walking.
And ended up where hubs and I were before. Also found out that we needed to buy tickets to get on the cruise, not stop it by waving lol
Lucky for us, we just made it! We were the very last passengers to get on the river cruise.
What an adventure! Hahaha.
The ticket was RM10 for local and RM15 for foreigner. The price is actually quite okay because it’s a pretty long cruise (45 minutes). That said, maybe it felt long cause there was a kid with a toy cat that wouldn’t stop meowing. WTF parents?
# – River cruise!
Contrary to belief, the river was not smelly. The water’s not crystal clear though so we tried our best to avoid stray spray.
# – Under a rainbow bridge.
It’s really nice to see the improvement they’ve done to Melaka river. So much cleaner and so many beautiful murals on the walls of the buildings located along the river. Nice ambient lightings too!

Would be cool if they could do something like that to Klang River :D

haha there’s only ONE large red building!
Also I was very impressed with Melaka and how it’s managed to transformed itself over the past few years. Very nice touristy place for weekends.
