What I ate on Sunday

Sunday is for chilling.

We are on a mission to eat at places we have never eaten at before.

This brought us too 3 Pigs & Bad Wolf at BV1.

I had eggs Atlantic. Nice but I think Red Bean Bag at Publika is better.

Don’t remember the rest of what we did because I hadn’t been giving two hoots about blogging.

Am trying really hard to do this back posting crap.

I shouldn’t be so lazy!

Saturday of friends

Yay weekend is here!

Had a nice girls only brunch with Ee Laine in Bangsar.

Hung out for a bit then came home to make more Hokkaido chiffon cakes to bring to Ee Laine’s mooncake festival house party.

Doubled up the recipe and tweaked the sugar content. Hubs said the previous batch wasn’t sweet enough.  This batch did taste better than yesterday’s attempt I must say.

Great food (paella and yakitori from Grill Sargent, noodles from Ee Laine’s mom and potato salad from Ee Laine) and great company. Happy to see the gang. It’s been a while!

Productive day at work. No complaints.

Was stuck in jam on the way home and was worried that dinner would be even later as I was supposed to cook.

However, I came home to a chicken and vegetables roasting in the oven.

Ahh my hubs, am a lucky girl :)

Hubs told me he researched a long time for the perfect recipe and I must say, he didn’t waste his time reading up.

It was really delicious. The chicken skin was crisp, the meat was tender and moist. Beautiful!

Then I made hokkaido chiffon cakes for dessert because the husband lovesssss them. He always buys them from our neighbourhood bakery.

It’s my 2nd time making these and I cheated by using Bird’s custard for the filling. It worked really well though.
