Productive day at work. No complaints.

Was stuck in jam on the way home and was worried that dinner would be even later as I was supposed to cook.

However, I came home to a chicken and vegetables roasting in the oven.

Ahh my hubs, am a lucky girl :)

Hubs told me he researched a long time for the perfect recipe and I must say, he didn’t waste his time reading up.

It was really delicious. The chicken skin was crisp, the meat was tender and moist. Beautiful!

Then I made hokkaido chiffon cakes for dessert because the husband lovesssss them. He always buys them from our neighbourhood bakery.

It’s my 2nd time making these and I cheated by using Bird’s custard for the filling. It worked really well though.

Think am going to make more tomorrow. Hope I won’t be too lazy then.

My molar band popped out after a slightly vigorous  flossing session which forced me to make an emergency trip to the dentist today.

My doctor was really pleased with the progress of my teeth movement. He happily took out the cast of my pre-braces teeth and wow, what a difference!

He also warned that he would have to close the 4 gaps made by the 4 teeth he removed, which means….. rubber bands. Am so not looking forward to those :(

The price of vanity!

I made oyakodon, a Japanese dish, for dinner today… using fake dashi stock –  really diluted marmite soup with a splash of nampla and soya sauce hehe. Yeah, am so pleased with myself…

# – Taste better than it looks.

It was really delicious, if I can say so myself :D

First thing first, a very, very good friend of mine, Celine has just gotten engaged to her man, Jonathan.

I had known about the proposal from Jon since June! So glad it has happened and credit to Jon and his bros for pulling off such a beautiful proposal.

Celine unsuspectingly stepped into a room filled with heart-shaped balloons, romantic candles and her man, Jon standing in the middle with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers and The Ring.

He asked for her hand and she said yes and we all cheered. What a great day :)

Am so happy for these two lovebirds!

We were missing food from our #kimgaretheurotrip so we decided to recreate our typical meal in Europe.

Dropped by Jaya Grocer for assortment of hams and pickles and cheeses.

# – Chorizo, serrano, parma and salami with pickled baby beetroots, stuffed olives, pickled onions as well as cheeses.

Yums. Very happy with our dinner.
