Celebratory feast.

So weā€™ve finished everything that has to do with tertiery education (except for the final year project presentation on the 6th next month) and thought we ought to celebrate. Being Malaysians, how else do we do it aside from drinking and eating? Hence thatā€™s exactly what we did.

We drove all the way to Tanjung Harapan for a feast at this restaurant called Port Village. Iā€™ve been there before for Motherā€™s Day but didnā€™t leave with a good impression because it was crowded and the food was so-so (thanks to my scrooge of an aunt too stingy to chip in for better seafood so we were ordering lousy food to please her). I really would prefer any restaurant in Teluk Gong over Port Village. Anyway, what the heck, I thought. It was a long journey to be there I might as well enjoy it.

And yeah, you bet I enjoyed it. Every single bite.

First up, vegetable fried with belacan and salt roasted mantis prawns (this is good stuff!).

Spicy clams.

Drunken prawns.

Chilli crabs and spicy dry crabs.

Obligatory fried buns to soak up the chilli gravy. Yum yum yum!

Marmite baby octopuses (addictive stuff).

All of us.

We ordered fried calimari to wrap up the dinner, but I forgot to take picture of it. It was also good! Oh, and I drank without passing out and managed to drive back home in one piece. Hehehe.

I think the gang and I are going to do this more often, weā€™re thinking about once a month, dedicated just for food. Well, this meal will go down in history as my last indulgence for the year. Iā€™ve vowed to go on a balanced diet with loads of exercise to lose this pesky 5 kilos that I havenā€™t lost yet. I hope it wonā€™t become another unsuccessful resolution.

Bonding with the girls.

LooLooā€™s going to leave this afternoon. Sigh, how time passes :( Iā€™m going to miss you, babe! Be good.

So LooLoo, Jayn and I went to Sungai Wang to eat, shop and pose. Our first destination was Kim Gary, we were so hungry we forgot to take pictures of the food. I ordered pork chop bun; thereā€™s no side dishes, only pork chop, cucumber and tomatoes sandwiched between two pieces of fried buns. Itā€™s not bad, but not as good as the one I had at Kim Gary Beyond in Avenue K. Is there supposed to be difference between the menu of KGā€™s and KGBā€™s? Yeah, I thought so too, KGB for initials is rather distasteful.

After chomping on so much food, we decided to pose for the sticker picture machines. RM24 for a pop but all worth it. I think itā€™s a great bonding activity for girls. Either that, or me and my girlfriends are just still kids at heart. Hehe :)

Trying to strike some chao ah lian pose. I donā€™t think weā€™re successful, but thatā€™s just me.

If you think weā€™re chao ah lians without trying, please STFU.

Of course, I did some shopping too. There was a sale at Vincci, Malaysiaā€™s one-stop for presentable and disposable footwear. I finally got my hands on a pair of heels that matches the handbag that the girls bought me for my birthday. Damn happy, ok. The heels had been a tad too elusive I had almost given up of ever finding them.

Seeā€¦.so matching leh!

I also bought a top.

Iā€™ve got a message to all of you bitches who remotely think they even stand a chance,

evil laugh fades outā€¦.

Please spare me 5 minutes of your time.

this is a sticky postā€¦

Hey peepsā€¦thanks so much for the support! The online survey is doing quite well. However, I notice that there is a few questionnaires that were incomplete.

I totally understand this, itā€™s freesurverysonline.com that keeps getting stuck midway through the survey. It takes a while to load after clicking ā€œNextā€ and sometimes it doesnā€™t load at all :(

Heh, I know itā€™s too much to ask, but just in case youā€™ve got some free time in hand, do click here again and hopefully freesurveysonline.com wonā€™t foul up again. Thanks peeps!

I am finally doing a little work relating to the 10,000 paper. Hereā€™s the title of my projectā€¦

Information Security Management System (ISMS) in Malaysia: Understanding the Contradiction between Reality and Rhetoric

Iā€™m conducting a survey and Iā€™d need all the help I can get. I really hope you guys will be so kind to do the survey for me. There are only 22 very simple questions, nothing technical. Would take about 5 minutes to complete it.

My target population is anyone who works in the following industries:

  • Retail
  • Manufacturing
  • Finance/Banking
  • Service (hospitality, medical, consultancy etc)
  • Government
  • Telecommunication
  • IT
  • Others

As you can see, basically every industry! Hehehe.

The online survey is located here.

Iā€™ve also uploaded a Microsoft Word version here. You could save the file to your computer, take your time to complete it and then send it back to me at before 16 November.

Thanks again you all for taking time to do this survey. I really appreciate this from the bottom of my heart. If you would forward this to your colleagues too, I would be truly grateful.

Thank you peeps and thanks again!
