Pre-CNY reunion dinner at Fitou with #porkgang

Since everyone has somewhere to go during Chinese New Year, #porkgang decided to get together with all the furkids to celebrate pre-CNY at Fitou, Desa Park City. Eric booked the table under “porkgang” and according to Kerol, that was exactly what was written on the placard on the table. Haha. There were 13 of us not including 5 bitches and 1 dawg.

Food was awesomesauce, especially for the price. The salads were particularly outstanding.

Country Farmer salad. Prawns, thick bacon and fresh crisp lettuce. Nais!

Pork burger. Big, juicy & delicious!

Paella for 2. Very moist & flavourful. Thumbs up!

Some kinda pork in black pepper based sauce. Pretty good if you like the spicy.

Carbonara. Rich and creamy in the tastiest way ever. Awesomesauce!!!

Introducing the bitches and the stud….

CheddieSluttyBitch. As you can see, living up to her namesake.

KoyukiGanasBitch. Should change name dy. KoyukiMensaBitch or something. Fucking smart, cannot believe.

EmoQQ. Possibly the soon-to-be latest addition to my family :) She looks a splitting image of #EmoCharlie <3 <3

Last but not least, the handsome EmoCharlie. Which is him? The one that looks exactly like daddy, of course.

And now…the secondary characters at dinner.

Ah Horng & Selina.

Haze and the ex joined us a while later and I didn’t get to take any picture of her. I love Haze very much and you shall find out why in coming posts. In the meantime, check out her blog for awesomesauce makeup & fashion tutorials. And if you want to revamp your blog, look no further cause Haze is your woman.

Here’s a photo lifted from Haze’s blog.

Damn hot right? Well, truth is she doesn’t look like that without makeup, so what I’m saying is her makeup skills are damn l33t. Hahahaha jangan bunuh aku!!!

Yours truly and ST.

After dinner, we walked the dogs at the park. All the pups running alongside and chasing each other. So HAPPY!!

And the last picture to complete this entry…

Furong jiejie and Charlie.

Happy Chinese New Year peeps!

Looking for a touchscreen phone that’s not all about looks but is practical too? Well, your answer is in the BlackBerry Storm2 9520 smartphone or commonly known as the Storm 2 ;) You can do all the cool stuff that Blackberry is famous for but on a cool as ice touchscreen device!

Celcom is now offering Storm 2 from only RM216/month and it doesn’t get better than that.

Hair or lackthereof and other things.

Wow I felt a lot of love. Thanks for everyone’s concern. I’m fine now. Really! Had a grand dinner at Lucky Loke with the usual suspects. Ate loads of frogs, very happy :)

Then to a TT session for airtrekkies. It was fun, fun, fun! Everyone is just crazy and funny and goofy. We went to Neway too, kinda wrecked the place a bit rock star style then they threatened to charge us RM300 for it and everybody started cleaning up the ginormous room. Like wiped the whole place down with minute serviettes and shit. Hahaha, it was so highschool fun but then old age took over :P Was awesome while it lasted :)

Cake war!

In the ear…

Amazing cake did not collapse under the weight of the candles.

EmoCharlie is officially bald. We had him shaved from head to tail. He looks like a mongrel now, hahaha. Poor Charles, doesn’t know what hit him. We’re relieved though because he’s 100% tick-free now. Been finding ticks in our bed and shit, URGH. He’s not so fluffy now and he’s lost that faux mohawk. Also can only rub him in one direction, the opposite direction is very stubble-ish :P

You can see his saggy balls really clearly now.

Doesn’t know what hit him.

Charles was not the only one who got a hair cut. I did too! Been about 6 months since my last visit to Hairkunst. With birds attempting to dive into my hair for nesting, I figured it’s time to make myself look human again. This time I got Dwen to do my hair and I’m very happy with the results. He has removed almost all my rebonded hair and all I’m left with now is my own untreated hair. As you can see, my hair is naturally wavy and I think at 25, I’m finally confident enough to carry my natural hair. Praise the skies!

Sorry for the scary au naturel face. This was taken at 5am in the morning. Just concentrate on the hair.

When I twitted my picture right after the haircut, I got a comment from a former schoolmate.

You look just like your mom!!!

Mummy.

Yeah, I do agree that I actually look a splitting image of my mom and I’m proud of it. Granted she’s 48 and I’m uh, 25 but I have a theory – that if you looked older than your real age, you’d probably look younger when you are chronologically older. This is because people’s looks hit a plateau at a certain age where they would look about the same for many years after. And since you’ve hit your plateau much earlier, you would keep to that appearance till about 65 while your friends would suddenly look like old hags the morning after 30….ngehehehe.

It’s Rachel‘s birthday today so pls send her some love at her blog. She hasn’t blogged for ages but perhaps a wave of well wishes at her defunct blog would spur her to post something again.

Have a great weekend, people :)

Blue Cow Cafe, Plaza Damas.

In my search for good pet-friendly restaurants, I discovered Blue Cow Cafe at Plaza Damas. Formerly known as Fogal Meat Market, it was renamed as Blue Cow Cafe but the restaurant decor and menu has not changed much.

#1 – Blue Cow Cafe, Plaza Damas.

Situated in the labyrinth that is Plaza Damas, we had trouble locating it at first. In fact our first time there almost did not happen because after walking for about 45 minutes searching for the restaurant I had wanted to give up. Fortunately, the boo managed to find it in the nick of time. I’m glad we did because it has become our regular haunt for good ol’ pork dishes.

There’s an impressive meat deli in the restaurant which can render even the most stoic diner excited.

#2 – Meat haven.

I love the soups. Always piping hot and enough to be shared between 2 people. It was a rainy day and we decided to share a bowl of spicy tomato soup. It was very good, it’s got a bite to it and it wasn’t too sour.

#3 – Spicy tomato soup.

We’ve tried the pea & ham soup and also the creamy mushroom soup. Both were also very delicious. For my main, I ordered roast pork with apple sauce. I order this every time I visit Blue Cow Cafe.

#4 – Roast pork with apple sauce.

#5 – The fragrant apple sauce.

My favourite part of this dish is the crackling that come with. Fresh, delicious, crunchy, fatty pork crackling.

#6 – Pork crackling.

#7 – That’s a look of sheer happiness.

The babber ordered fish & chips.

#8 – Fish & chips.

According to him, it was very good. Batter was crispy and the fish was flaky. The chips were fresh and good.

#9 – Even Charlie approves.

We’ve been there half a dozen times and were happy every time. One thing though, trust me and don’t ever order the kebab. Everything else, the pies, the ribs, the dessert, the lamb stew were all delicious.

#10 – Christmas Roast Turkey.

They even have xmas roast turkey for order, and I intend to try it out this year.

#11 – The patio area of Blue Cow Cafe.

Price wise it is very reasonable. For instance, the big bowl of soup is about RM11. My roast pork with apple sauce is just shy of RM20.

The atmosphere would actually be pretty good if it weren’t for the nearby construction works. But that’s not a good enough reason to avoid Blue Cow Cafe. For a pork and pet lover, it’s a perfect place to go.
