omgz i haven’t blogged for ages. been really busy at work, having a roadshow in Kulai, Johor. and i’m still in johor right now.

in between work is a lot of food. a lot -_-. i must have gained like 3 kilos and more from this trip.

lemme show you what i ate last night.

how about dinner tonight?

i’m thinking chicken wings and fried oysters.

good food feeds the soul too

i notice that i’d be in an incredibly good mood at work after a nice lunch. i suppose sometimes you have the break the monotony of the RM4 chap fun.

a while ago, we were in bangsar checking out the roadshow venue so we decided to hop over to chun heong for lunch. the place was super packed. paul teh recommended the duck thigh noodle for me. it was damn good, i’d definitely go back again. perfectly braised duck meat that falls of the bone in a nice mildly herbal tasting soup.

paul teh on the other hand had the 3 sausages noodle which was supposedly really good too. i tried the soup and it’s really aromatic. no hint of msg enhanced flavour to it.

as we had time to spare, we also stopped for some strudels. i had the classic apple and he opted for a blueberry one.

a couple of days later, me and the ladies of the office went to Aman Suria for the best char siew in the world. yes, i’ve converted them. if you saw a bunch of people in blue shirts at famous seremban favourites, yes those people are us.

on the day i had my accident, there was a kfc smacked right next to the kota damansara police station. too lazy to go somewhere else, we decided on just having our lunch there. they have a new addition to their menu called “flava roast”.

i didn’t really have much faith in it but i wanted to try the jacket potato. as it turned out, the flava roast chicken steak was pretty decent…better than the bbq chicken place even! the size of the chicken steak was quite small when compared to the picture on the menu, but with the coleslaw and jacket potato it made a substantial meal. and, the jacket potato was actually good!

having a bad day at work? pls treat yourself at lunch.

p/s: i’ve filed my taxes. wow it’s crazy easy with this e-filing! so easy i wasn’t sure if i had really done it. wtf. thanks suan and st for helping out!

Happiness.

Went to visit KL showroom this afternoon and had lunch at Kin Kin. Glad I went cause I tried the one in Pandan Indah and it was quite underwhelming. Thought it’s completely overrated. Kin Kin in KL on the other hand is a different class altogether. The noodle was springy and the egg perfectly poached. Thanks Paul Teh for recommending!

Place was packed. And service was incredibly slow. I think we waited for like 45 minutes before our food arrived -_-

After lunch and some work, we left for PJ office. At the turnoff from the Hartamas highway to Section 17, I got stopped by traffic police for speeding :P

He asked why I was speeding. I told him I didn’t realise I was. Then he asked for my driving license, then proceeded to ask if I wanted “help”. I said no, give me the summon. He asked me if I were sure. I said, yeah give me the summon I did something wrong.

And guess what…dude told me it’s okay, he’s letting me off because of my “smile”.

“Takpe lah..boleh pergi. Kerana you punya senyum”. wtf -_-”

My good day continued all the way to the office. My mineral makeup stash has arrived all the way from US of A. I was so excited when I saw the security uncle carried a brown envelope into my room. Almost did a dance when he passed the envelope to me (not trying to be drama but you know how much burden is lifted knowing your online shopping has arrived safely in your hands). Aside from the stuff I ordered, Silk Naturals has even given me 1 perfecting powder and 3 eye colours for free! I love shopping with Silk Naturals, so many surprises :)

Yeah and I just danced along to Dancer by The Killers with the babber before clicking ‘Publish’. Happiness is derived from the simplest of things. Hope my good fortune continues.
