Malam Tumpang Glamour

This post is a bit overdue but better late than never! Malam Tumpang Glamour (MTG) was organised by Reta, Elfie and Mike because parties do not have to be expensive to be fun. Their motto is: cheapass but kickass.

I can’t agree more. I always feel out of place at posh pretentious parties. And I almost never really enjoyed myself. I guess I’m just not that kind of person. I’m too loud when drunk, and too crass when sober. On that note, my wedding is going to be mad fun with loads of pork and booze. Just sayin’…

#1 – Always thought I’d make a good looking pirate. With Reta.

#2 – Inked Tattoo Studio. No drunken tattooing took place.

Held at Inked, the theme for the night was Misai hence I wore a plastic rapist’s moustache that I got from Daiso. That’s the only kind they were selling and it was quite uncomfortable. Skin couldn’t breathe, so I discarded it not long after.

#3 – emoCharlie lapping up all the attention.

So anyway, MTG really did kickass. It’s not only cheap, but all proceeds (nominal entrance fee of RM1) go to its favourite charity which is Furry Friends Farm. Great music on great sound system (thanks Hi-Volt) by the average men/women who think they are better than professional djs and fortunately, they are. Free booze by Tiger Beer. Got lucky draw for some awesome goodies somemore. And of course, it’s pet-friendly! Thank you MTG for giving me the opportunity to party with emoCharlie for the very first time!

#4 – Lucky draw. Spot Michael.

#5 – Suan, KY and Kura-kura chilling at the staircase.

#6 – Ah Horng and Elfie.

#7 – Ladies on the pool table. Most right pair of feet belongs to me btw.

Everyone had so much fun. I did too, although it was a little short-lived :P

#8 – I fell asleep with emoCharlie keeping an eye on me.

#9 – Guess the song.

Can’t remember much after that, a lil bit about wobbling down the stairs, vomit shooting through my nostrils etc.

#10 – Caption this.

We need more MTGs!

Join My Pact

#twestival raised RM11,000 for the kids at Destiny Starting Point. Kudos to Suan, Niki, David, Radiance and the rest of the volunteers! Rather gutted that I missed out on attending the party. Heard there were free hotdogs from 1901 and ice cream from New Zealand Naturals and poken giveaways!!! Aihhhh I totally missed out :(

The reason why I had not gone to #twestival was because I managed to wriggle an invitation to Join The Pact party from Johnnie Walker which happened on the same night. Chilling out with Mika Hakkinen or the kids from Destiny Starting Point? Well, sorry kids!

#1- Mika Hakkinen is about as tall as me in real life. Teenage fantasy crushed :(

Join The Pact is some kind of responsible drinking campaign fronted by Mika Hakkinen for Johnnie Walker. I have my reservations about the relevance of this campaign as it’s the sober drivers in Malaysia that I’m afraid of. Sober Malaysian are definitely worse than say a pissed drunk Mika Hakkinen behind the wheels. Weaving in and out, indecisive driving, random emergency brakes…..who needs alcohol to be a prick on the road? That said, I’m glad we’ve got a reason to parrrrt ehhhh.

#2 – Mika Hakkinen’s sweet ride made specially for the campaign. Some lucky baskets got to ride on it with him.

Unfortunately, I was unable to take any fanboi picture with Mika because he’s super VIP. He was surrounded by burly minders I didn’t dare to disturb. I’m pretty sure they’ve got prettier, younger, sluttier, sexiers girls propositioning them just to get close to Mika. I knew my place and decided on admiring my teenage fantasy from afar.

#3 – Kesian. Could only catch a glimmer of him in his super VIP area.

Half way through chugging my 2nd glass of JW, I saw Nicholas and Robb of Nuffnang’s fame. We camhored.

#4 – Robb, Nicholas and me.

Then half way through my 3rd glass of JW, I spotted the two lusts of my life, Hansen Lee and Henry Golding.

#5 – I like to think that they groped my back and my asscheeks while this picture was being taken. Unfortunately, they were perfect gentlemen :(

I gritted my teeth and threw emoCharlie at the sitter for this selfish night out. It was good.

#6 – Ah Bengs call this the big cannon. Don’t ask me how I come to know this.

Thanks JW. Keep on walking!

lipstick gossip

ah hah! time for a new post. i am damn semangat these days!

today right after work i heroically braved the massive downpour to go to KL for Lipstick Gossip, a party hosted by stage cosmetics at twenty.one bar+kitchen (henceforth shall be known as 21). but before i talk about my time at the party, let me just recall a lil parking drama that jayna and i had right outside 21…

so we were desperately looking for parking because there wasn’t any jockey available and it was drizzling, but as luck would have it i found one lil spot for my kelisa right in front of 21. lucky me!

jayna was also lucky because a beemer happened to be coming out of a parking spot, so i exited my car, stood on the pavement and waited for jayna to park her car. as i was watching her, very suddenly, instead of reversing, she accidentally accelerated. her car plunged forward, almost hitting the car in front of her. missed by 1/2 an inch.

i told her to reverse but she must have been a lil spooked…afraid that the car might have moved forward a little bit more if she engaged R so i took over the wheels. seen as though i work in a car company and i’m really good with cars and all that…..NOT :P

as i predicted, the car reversed smoothly without hitting the car in front and as i was beaming from my achievement, BANG!

i hit a car behind, which i swear i hadn’t noticed before :P

jayna and i were freaking out bad…we were thinking, eh should we park elsewhere or should we park here how how how how how? we ended up deciding to park there anyway, if the owner come out we will settle it like honourable people we are. after parking, we checked the damage and thankfully, jayna’s car was completely untouched. and the other car looked fine also. till i noticed shards of glasses on the road that is.

opss. i broke a signal light it seemed.

but it was drizzling so we just went and join the party lor…

#1 – bustling

#2 – me and looloo

#3 – jayna and looloo

we were hungry and didn’t have the patience to wait for the canapes so we ordered!

#4 – honey wings and calamari

#5 – jayna getting her tarot cards read

#6 – with jo and bee

#7 – and me getting my tarot cards read

cocktails were delicious and there were stations for palm reading, tarot card reading, hair makeover, mani/pedi and makeup. fun concept but we had to wait so freakin’ long for each station. in the end, jayna, looloo and i only managed to get our tarot cards read. by the time we’ve finished with that the other stations were already closed :( oh well next time!

overall i had a fun time catching up with the ladies and we ended the night tucking on greasy mamak food…

#8 – mee rojak! fatzzzz but you only live once :P

thanks stage cosmetics for hosting us :)

p/s: sorry dark coloured car with a broken signal light. we totally forgot about you after leaving the party :P sorry!!!!!!
