i is in kulai.

omgz i haven’t blogged for ages. been really busy at work, having a roadshow in Kulai, Johor. and i’m still in johor right now.

in between work is a lot of food. a lot -_-. i must have gained like 3 kilos and more from this trip.

how about dinner tonight?

i’m thinking chicken wings and fried oysters.

good food feeds the soul too

i notice that i’d be in an incredibly good mood at work after a nice lunch. i suppose sometimes you have the break the monotony of the RM4 chap fun.

a while ago, we were in bangsar checking out the roadshow venue so we decided to hop over to chun heong for lunch. the place was super packed. paul teh recommended the duck thigh noodle for me. it was damn good, i’d definitely go back again. perfectly braised duck meat that falls of the bone in a nice mildly herbal tasting soup.

paul teh on the other hand had the 3 sausages noodle which was supposedly really good too. i tried the soup and it’s really aromatic. no hint of msg enhanced flavour to it.

as we had time to spare, we also stopped for some strudels. i had the classic apple and he opted for a blueberry one.

a couple of days later, me and the ladies of the office went to Aman Suria for the best char siew in the world. yes, i’ve converted them. if you saw a bunch of people in blue shirts at famous seremban favourites, yes those people are us.

on the day i had my accident, there was a kfc smacked right next to the kota damansara police station. too lazy to go somewhere else, we decided on just having our lunch there. they have a new addition to their menu called “flava roast”.

i didn’t really have much faith in it but i wanted to try the jacket potato. as it turned out, the flava roast chicken steak was pretty decent…better than the bbq chicken place even! the size of the chicken steak was quite small when compared to the picture on the menu, but with the coleslaw and jacket potato it made a substantial meal. and, the jacket potato was actually good!

having a bad day at work? pls treat yourself at lunch.

p/s: i’ve filed my taxes. wow it’s crazy easy with this e-filing! so easy i wasn’t sure if i had really done it. wtf. thanks suan and st for helping out!

Krabi, Thailand – Day 1

My trip to Thailand was a good one. I enjoyed myself immensely, courtesy of See Tho from See Tho Holidays. See Tho is one of the most progressive men (extremely knowledgeable & Internet savvy) I’ve ever met and with a wonderful down-to-earth disposition to boot. Despite being the owner of See Tho Holidays, which has offices in Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Hatyai, he personally attended to us and made sure that we had a great time. And indeed, we had a fabulous time. Many thanks to Nicole Tan, who hooked us up with See Tho.

The reason why I enjoyed this trip so much was because we were introduced to a side of Thailand that you’d hardly see in the tourist brochures. All the trip packages offered by See Tho Holidays are personally customised by See Tho himself. He does it by travelling all over Thailand, trying out and experiencing every spot including towns, shops, hotels, restaurants and many more. Then, he would decide on the best and put them on his itineraries.

Personally, I’ve never liked group tours as the pace is too fast and you could never stay long enough to take in the beauty of any place. But with See Tho, there was never a single moment during the trip where I felt rushed. You may think that I’m a bit of a hard selling here, but frankly, See Tho deserves it.

On the morning of 6th July, KY and I took a cab to LCCT for RM65. We reached there and found Kellster and Nigel at Mcdonalds. To be honest I was quite worried about how Nigel and Kellster would be like as travelling partners as I didn’t know both of them very well, but they turned out to be quite a riot :) Especially Nigel. I’ll probably talk more about Nigel in future entries as his funny moments during the trip were priceless!

Nicole and Andy, our official photographer arrived shortly after and before we knew it, we were boarding the plane.

Plane.
Bound for Krabi.
