My thoughts on Alvivi

Just another manic monday. Took me so much effort just to steam this damn blouse.

Am in wonderment over the borderline hysteria that is sweeping the nation over the bak kut teh scandal by controversial bloggers, Alvivi.

I think it is fair game to curse and criticise maybe even make them pay a hefty fine, but to haul them before a court and spend time in jail?

Wow, no wonder we are still where we are….

What harm have they caused? Hurt some feelings? How bad are your feelings hurt? Are you having sleepless nights over two kids doing stupid shit? Seriously get your fucking priorities right.

Am not condoning their behaviour, I just think that Malaysians can be more mature when it comes to freedom of expression.

If politicians said racist shit, vote them out. If people said stupid, bigoted shit on social medias, unfollow them. If your kids said rude & offensive shit, first give them a bloody slap and then review your own parenting skills.

That said, if someone threatened the lives of Malaysians though, by all means lock their butts downs.

Just be reminded that nobody belongs in jails except rapists, murderers, drug pushers, assaulters, scammers, kidnappers, thieves and paedophiles.

Which category does Alvivi belong to exactly?

Idyllic Sunday

Lazy weekend clothes…

My Sienna Miller-esque lazy top from Nichii. Shorts from can’t remember where. Pouch from YSL perfume. Sandals from Ipanema Gisele Bundchen.

============

Had a nice idyllic Sunday. We woke up for a nice brunch at Fierce Curry House then went looking at cars for fun.

# – So fierce.

Came home for a short nap. By the time I woke up I had developed an awful period pain but nothing 45mg of Meloxicam couldn’t solve.

We then watched Pacific Rim at TGV IMAX. Really enjoyed myself, easily the best film I have watched this year.

Probably aided by the presence of my favourite actors on TV – Charlie Hunnam (take me and use me Jax!) and Idris Elba (oh beautiful chocolate hotness in a suit)…I implore you to watch it if you haven’t already.

There was just the right amount of emotional back story to not become a typical cheesy American film, a coherent and engaging action sequence (unlike the recent Superman, which was just loud and messy), beautiful but down-to-earth protagonists, enough humour and very good, very realistic computer graphics.

It was a good ride. I came out of the cinema all satisfied and rooting for humankind.

Jizz in my pants Sri Edaran beef noodles

======

Today we went for lunch at this obscure kopitiam/coffeeshop called Sri Edaran in Kepong because Gareth recalled that I read about a good beef noodle stall there.

We went many months before to try it but the stall was closed so I was really happy that Gareth remembered. Finally I could try the beef noodles!

There were a few stalls at the coffeeshop but none had english signages. Miraculously, I recognised the chinese character for cow on one of the stalls.

When I approached, the uncle immediately asked if I wanted beef or mutton noodles. Yay, right stall!

We ordered 2 beef noodles and 1 mutton just to try. Unlike that horrendously slow Uncle Heng Noodle House in SS3 which I will forever hold a grudge against for making me waited 2 hours in a half-filled restaurant, our noodles at Sri Edaran arrived in less than 2 minutes.

O M G. The beef tendons were flavourful and melty suspended in superior beef broth…the noodles springy and loose. I wanted moarrrrrrr!

The mutton was good too but I think the beef was far better.

We really enjoyed our lunch and we were happy to have found a new place for weekend lunches. Bought some for mom too who came to visit me today and she loved it.
