It is the weather

There were many aspects of my physical appearance that I struggled with and I have managed to overcome them over the years.

All I can smell is smoke. All I am feeling is my head pounding and my shoulders aching.

My legs are literally jelly. The TV has nothing interesting. The web even worse.

First world problems eveywhere. People whining about non-issues. People panicking about non-issues.

People who tell the world that they are sarcastic or something by sharing supposedly smart quotes on Facebook.

Bad music. Vapid music. Boys singing like girls. Girls not singing.

I feel like a rubbish bag. My brains going boom boom boom.

Time for Charlie

Haven’t blogged about Charlie for a while. My son is turning 5 this October. Why do you have to grow up so quickly, son? :(

Here are some out of focus pictures of us cuddling and fooling around.

By the way, here’s my first post about Charlie. Love you Chacha.

Cooking risotto

Am on a roll! Cooked mushroom barley risotto for dinner and made roast chicken thighs for some meat to go with.

The barley I used? The ones chinese mothers have used for generations for the familiar barley drink.

All at the cost of RM0.60 per packet.

Who needs arborio rice? Who? Suckers!

# – 2 packets of barley for two. RM1.20 WTF!

The most expensive ingredient was the fresh mushrooms. Think I’d use canned ones next time since I probably can’t tell the difference after a spot of sauteeing.

# – One ladle of stock at a time and stir. One ladle at a time.

Used this recipe for the risotto and this recipe for the chicken thighs.

By the way, you must absolutely try the chicken recipe cause it was crazy good!! No marinade, just salt & pepper. I was shocked at how delicious it was.
