17th day of #KimGarethEurotrip

Woke up in a Jean’s luxe motorhome.

# – This was our bed the night before. Converted back to benches.

Had a lovely lunch in Jean’s garden.

It’s all about eating when we are at Jean’s hehe.

After lunch we had an awesome cream tea in Dunster, about 5 minutes drive away.

I don’t know why I didn’t take any picture with my phone, only my camera which is a nuisance to download now.

We had ginger scones with clotted cream and honey. To die for!!!!!

We were just chilling, playing with Blaize and doing nothing. Then we left Jean’s and had a nice dinner at a pub called The Cottage Inn.

Also didn’t take pictures with my phone. I must be tired. We are back in Worcester now.

Perhaps I’d update this post with pictures from the camera later.

15th day of #KimGarethEurotrip

Taken outside mom-in-law’s house. My face is too terbabas, sorrry.

It was a slow,quiet day at home. A wonderful break from our previous pace.

Woke up to homemade lunch and all oir dirty laundry washed and hung by mom, hehehehe. Loveeeeee mummies!

Mom made an amazing cherry & coconut cake too. I might have had one slice too many. Burp!

We stayed in the whole day except to go out for groceries.

Had some pre-dinner snacks in the garden.

# – Feta & olives, crisps, wasabi peas, carrot sticks & homemade hummus and pretzels. All washed down with pimms and wine.

Then mom made roast leg of lamb for dindin.

I helped….to make mint sauce with mint from the garden.

Mom’s gone to bed now while we’re still awake and surfing the Internet. Looking forward to seeing Aunt Jean and her family tomorrow at Minehead.

14th day of #KimGarethEurotrip

We’re in Calais, France. It’s our last day of #KimGarethEurotrip outside of England.

We checked out from our last hotel of this trip (we will be staying with mum-in-law for the rest of our holiday) and went sightseeing around Calais for a bit.

Then, we made sure we had a kilo of mussels each at lunch at a restaurant called Au Chalice before taking the ferry back to England.

# – Just as delicious as I first had it. Soft, tender and full of flavours.

After that we drove to Dunkerque, 20 minutes away to board the ferry.

Very easy to pass time in the ferry as it has shops, restaurants and even slot machines. Hubs won 20 Euros with only 1 Euro as capital hehe.

As the ferry approached England, we could see the beautiful White Cliffs of Dover.

1 hour 45 minutes later, we were driving on England again. Weird to be driving on the left side again, which of course we all agree is really the correct side ;)

We went up to the White Cliffs for a quick visit. Stunning, stunning view of the sea and the cliffs.

After the visit, we went to grab some fish and chips, which we ate at Dover Beach.

And now we’re back on the road, heading towards the hubs hometown, Worcester near Birmingham.

It’s been almost 6 years since we’re there. Excited to see mum-in-law!
